Cornerstone provided me with far more than just an internship on Capitol Hill. Through Cornerstone, I worked, traveled, and developed great friendships with students from across the U.S. and around the world. Sharing my life with these new friends, I looked forward to going "home" each evening after work. I could have stayed at many other places while in Washington, D.C. I'm convinced, though, that Cornerstone is the only place where I was able to experience real life.
